They had weapons and technology that was far more advanced than china had so they easily defeated the Chinese. The country who won the war was England because they attacked china by surprise. The letter never made it to England because his messenger was killed by some sailors in china.Britain fought because they wanted the tea from china so they needed more parts to trade instead of the only part available.

"The mountains of moon"
it's was really interest movie. The Africans were very far back in technology then Europeans. The Europeans wanted to take over Africa because they wanted to get their hands on spices, and all the valubles that they can get in Africa, and not in Europe. It is strange that the lake in Africa in named after a Bristish Queen because well there in Africa. They had never seen white people before and attacked them. causing them to retreat.
they had better weapons, such as guns which where more useful than spears.Their superior technology helped the Europeans conquer Africa.it's movie like their journey threw Africa's uncharted land, as well as their search for the source of the Nile River.Europeans lost many of their men and and they couldn't carry everything they wanted to Africa.

Meiji restoration of Japan

By 1615, after a century of civil war, the powerful Lord Tokugawa had his ememies and declared himself Shogun, ruler of all Japan. Tokugawa divided society into four.He was 15 year old when he ascended the Japanese throne in 1868. when he died in 1912, Japan had risen from a feudal country to a powerful Asian nation shaped after Western patterns. although Emperor Meiji never executed real power, he became the figurehead of the new era named after him.
the funny thing was that the xenophobia of the victorious forces around the emperpr changed from one day to another in to opposite -an attitude of embracing everything foreign woth open arms. Sonno joi was replaced by bummei kaika - civilizaton and enlightenment.
The Japanesen nation went on a tour de force to become a modern nation modeled after Western powers. One statesman of the Meiji government, Ito Hirobumi , became a major driving force in the Westernization of Japan .He was a man of humble origins, but became the most influential person of the Meiji until his assassomation in 1909 .
The process of Westernization tackled with utmost energy. Delegations for all fields of science and technology were sent out to Europe and the United States to study foreign political, economic, administrational and cultural systems. The Japanese pursued westernization and industrialzation so thoroughly that Japan was in dangan of throwing its own cultural heritage over board. ironically it was a handful of influential foreigners working at Japanese universities like Ernest fenellosa (1853-1908) who convinced the Japan to preserve their rich traditions.
In 1894/1895 the Japanese achieved an easy victory against china the Sino-Japanese war. The conflict had broken out over Japan's quest to take control of korea. Ten years later in 1904/1905 the Japanese forces defeated the Russuian fleet and army. The dispute was over Manchuria. Both wars were won because of the superior technology of the Japanese armed forces.
On July 30 of 1912, Emperop Meiji died. His son Yoshihito followed his father to the throne. with him the Meiji era ended officially and the Taisho era began.

Karl Marx and Communism.

He was born a jew,but his father converted the family to christianity in order to get job.Marx did not believe in god and thought workers were controlled by religion is the opiate of the people."Opium is a drug.
The ideas of Marx were not used in the communist countries.Marx believed that workes would control government, but communist government were strict and dictatorial. Workers were often forced to work on huge collective farms and factory workers often had to fulfill quotas. In most communist nations, the press was censored. They were not allowed to print news stories that criticitzed the government. People who spoke out against the Soviet government were treated harshly.
The practical results of Communism have been horror and atrocity for those under communist rule.So much so, advocates of Marxism have made every attempt to point out where communist leaders hace strayed from the fundamental teachings of Karl Marx, in an attempt to absolve communism. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that Marxist influence brought about many of there horrors. The iony is,Marxism renounces religion, not because of of religious doctrin, but because of the action of "religion" men. No one could accuse a religion such as Christianty of evil doctrin.
However, it seems that men are intrinsocallu evil and need only an opportunity to express this inherent reality. One must look at the overall outcome of philosophical doctrine on society, both good and bad not specific instarces of abuse. Christianity for example, has been used by wicked men to do much evil, but its underlying dovtrine has has been the cause of much good in the world. communism,on the other hand has brought only atrocity into the world.Communism has only served to remove Morality from the masses - a dangerous and costly experment.

Karl Marx and The Industrial Revolution.

karl Marx hated the industrial Revolution and capitalism. Capitalism is the thought that businesses are owned and operated for profit. He saw that workes worked long hours and were treated unfairly only to receive poor pay and salary. Marx was extremely encouraged to makr change.
Karl Marx was a Geman but his ideas change Russia history Marx's ideas were known as communism, a word formed for common. He born a jewish in May 5, 1818, but his father converted the family to christanity in order to get a job. Marx did not believe in god and thought workers were controlled by religion. He said," religion is the opiate of the people." opium is a drug. Marx died in 1883,but his ideas formed the basis of the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917.
All this would also have to include no prejudice, this idea was also founded by the deep memory that his family had to change religion .His overall beleif was that the industrial revolution should be abolished. He most likely started to invent communism around the time of losing the editor position of a magizine named Rheinische Zeitung. He didn't like it mainly for the negative reasons such as the exploition of families and children, the pollution, over-crowding, and hazardous working conditions.

The French Revolution
He French Revolution began 1789 with the meeting of states general in may. on july 14 of the same year the bastille was stormad : in october louis xvi and the royal family were remoed from versailles to paris. The king attempted unsuccessful,to flee paries for varennes in june 1791.A legislative assembley sat from october.1791 until september 1792 when in the face of advance of the allied armies of Austria,Holland,Russia and sardinia.it is replaced by the national convention.which prodaimed the Republic. The king was brought to trial in December of 1792,and executedon january 21,1793,In january of 1793 the revolutionary goverment declared was on britain a was for world dominion which had been carried on ,with short intermessions ,since the begining of the regin og william and mary, and which would continue for another twenty two yers. The industriazation of Europe, like the French Revolution, left a permanent mark on society.Life as it was described in the 18th centtury changed drastically; classes shifted, wealth increased, and nations began assuming national identities.Describing this industrialzation as a revolution is apt- despite the longer timeframe involved, the social consequences and economic change that the world has faced because of industrialzation easily equate the political effects that any of the Eurpean revolutions had.the changes can not be underestimated in importance to society today.
